About the Foundation
We believe the ice should belong to everyone. Yet for those who can’t see the puck, the game has too often remained just a sound in the distance.
Our mission is to change that—welcoming players who skate by instinct and trust, and who find in the game a rare mix of freedom, focus, and belonging.
The U.S. Blind Ice Hockey Foundation reimagines the game for players who can’t rely on sight but still crave the speed and sound of the rink. It changes lives—of kids taking their first strides, veterans returning to the ice, and anyone chasing a puck they can hear but not see.
Born in Canada and now played in cities across the U.S., blind hockey has grown into a community of roughly 1,000 players in North America. It’s a game built on trust, timing, and the shared joy of motion.
Mission Expanding access to hockey for the visually impaired and building a national community of blind and low-vision athletes.
Your support helps keep this movement alive—opening the rink to more players, more teams, and more moments of possibility. Help Blind Hockey keep growing in the U.S. with a gift to the Foundation.
